Dorv was a retired hunter in Brun's clan whose eyesight was failing. He had a daughter, Ika, whose hearth he shared.
Dorv adhered to traditional clan beliefs about women and voted against Ayla when she defied clan tradition by using a weapon.
Dorv was too old to travel to the Clan Gathering and remained behind with Zoug and Iza. While the clan was away, Dorv lost the remainder of his eyesight. Unable to see anyone's gestures, he lost the will to live and died before the clan returned.
