The Mammoth Camp, also known as the Musk-Ox Camp, is a Mamutoi camp located at the Dnieper River. Its leaders are Vincavec and his sister Avarie. The camp is related to the Amber Camp. Their summering place is called Larch Camp.
History[]
The Mammoth Camp was founded shortly before the events of The Mammoth Hunters. Vincavec and his sister Avarie were both members of the Amber Camp.
Normally, a man only starts a new camp after he gained a spouse. Vincavec started his own hearth and a new camp while he was still bachelor. He is also the Mamut (shaman) of the Mammoth Hearth, so he dubbed his camp "Mammoth Camp". Some (including Tulie) saw this as a pomposity.
With the help of the Lion Camp, the camp built a large house for the Mammoth Hearth near the Dnieper River using a large amount of mammoth bones.
